The world’s largest trade union federation has called a Mar. 6 global demonstration to pay homage to victims of Colombia’s far-right paramilitary militias and their allies in the state, political establishment and business community.

The nine members of the Progressive Teachers Union of Zimbabwe (PTUZ) who were tortured, allegedly at the Zanu PF Harare Provincial Office in Harare’s Central Business District have been released from Avenues Clinic.

India: social security plans for unregistered workers

Speaking at an interactive session organised by the Indian Chamber of Commerce, the Union Labour and Employment secretary, Ms Sudha Pillai, said: “After the necessary amendments are carried out, these unregistered workers would be able to receive benefits under the Government social security schemes.”
